Since joining MHP in 2004 Mr. Tamborlane has closed over $300 Million in Commercial Sales Transactions and has negotiated numerous complex lease transactions on behalf of both landlords and tenants.
Some of his achievements include the sale of the 200,000- square-foot “Brill Building” at 1619 Broadway; acting as agent for a 121,000-square-foot lease to Scripps Network (HGTV, Travel Channel, Food Network) at 1180 Avenue of the Americas and acting as agent in a 25,000-square-foot entire building lease to Hewlett Packard at 556 West 22nd Street. Mr. Tamborlane was also intricately involved in the lease of the entire building located at 639 West 46th Street, the former “H&H Bagels” building, to the events company, Metropolitan Pavilion. James also acted as retail agent on behalf of UBS at 135 West 50th Street where he concluded multiple transactions including a 6,500sf lease with Men’s Wearhouse.
Most recently, James structured a joint venture among four partners for the acquisition of 560 Seventh Avenue at the corner of 40th Street. As part of that transaction he also successfully negotiated additional air rights and the debt for the development of a new 225 key Dream Hotel with a 20,000sf three-floor retail component.
