Barrett Friedman began his career in real estate in January 2012.
Since joining MHP, Barrett has fulfilled Retail and Office requirements on both the Landlord and Tenant side of multiple transactions. He played an integral role on the team that successfully repositioned and brokered the sale of a 16,270 SF mixed Retail and Office Commercial Cooperative at 649-655 Broadway. Some of the notable tenants that Barrett has transacted with include Gregory’s Coffee, Dunkin Donuts, the French Cheese Board, Property Furniture, Hat Club, and Maria Tash. He’s also worked with several not-for-profits such as, City Arts, The Parris Foundation, Brooklyn Music School, Friends of The Children, New Heights, and Cricket Island. Barrett’s wide-range of experience has afforded him the ability to work on various aspects of a project and ensure clients that they can see all their options from every possible angle.
Before joining MHP in March 2013, Mr. Friedman served as a Director at The Lansco Corporation focusing on both tenancy and landlord solutions.
Prior to his time at The Lansco Corporation, Barrett spent time in Finance as an intern with both Deutsche Bank and Calypso Capital Management LP. He currently manages his family Real Estate portfolio in regards to management, leasing, investment, and development.
Mr. Friedman graduated from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University in New Orleans with a degree in Management, primarily concentrating on Entrepreneurship. Coming from a family with nearly a century of experience in ownership and management of Manhattan Real Estate, Mr. Friedman’s background has given him a solid understanding of the many facets that go into making a Real Estate deal.
